What this application is
Anthem Financial Hub (“the Hub”) is an internal financial reporting tool operated by Anthem Software (“we”, “us”). It is not a public product. There is no self-service signup, no free trial and no consumer-facing feature. Access is granted by invitation to named members of Anthem Software staff, and to nobody else.
The Hub exists to bring Anthem’s own business records — client contracts, expected and collected revenue, expenses, and sales pipeline — into one place, replacing a spreadsheet that was maintained by hand.
Information the Hub holds
The Hub stores business records belonging to Anthem Software. Specifically:
- Client business records. Business name, trading name, owner or contact name, business email address, phone number, website, industry, state, and the commercial terms of that client’s agreement with Anthem.
- Payment and billing records. Amounts expected and collected per client per month, payment method, transaction records retrieved from payment processors, financed contracts, buybacks and accounts in collections.
- Sales and lead records. Prospective client details supplied by our lead generation vendor, and the outcome of meetings and trials.
- Accounting records. Expense and deposit information retrieved from QuickBooks Online.
- User accounts. The email address and role of each invited staff member, and a log of changes they make to financial records within the Hub.
Where a client is a sole trader or owner-operated business, some of the above may constitute personal information about that individual. We treat it with the same care as any other confidential business record.
The Hub does not use cookies for advertising, does not run analytics or tracking scripts, and does not build profiles of any individual. The only cookies set are those required to keep a signed-in user signed in and to protect the sign-in process.
Systems the Hub connects to
The Hub reads data from the following systems. All connections are read-only.
- QuickBooks Online (Intuit). Expense, deposit and company information for the Anthem Software company file, used solely to report on Anthem’s own finances and to reconcile payments received against payments expected.
- Stripe. Charges and subscription records for clients who pay by card through Stripe.
- A lead-generation spreadsheet shared with us by our lead vendor, read via Google’s public export endpoint.
Data retrieved from QuickBooks Online is used only inside the Hub, only for Anthem’s internal financial reporting. It is never sold, never shared with third parties, never used for advertising or marketing, and never used to train machine learning models.
Where the data lives
Records are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase in the United States (us-east-1). The application itself is hosted by Vercel. Those two providers act as our infrastructure processors; they do not use Anthem’s data for their own purposes.
How access is controlled
- Access requires an invitation. There is no public registration.
- Every database table enforces row-level security: a request that does not belong to an invited user returns nothing at all. Permission is enforced by the database, not merely hidden in the interface.
- Only administrators can change financial records. Every such change is recorded with the previous value, the new value, who made it and when.
- Credentials for connected systems — including the QuickBooks refresh token — are held in storage that no application user can read, and are used only by server-side jobs. They are never sent to a browser.
- All traffic is encrypted in transit, and stored data is encrypted at rest.
How long data is kept
Business and financial records are retained for as long as Anthem Software needs them for operational, accounting and tax purposes.
Data obtained from QuickBooks Online is retained only while the connection is active. Disconnecting QuickBooks from within the Hub immediately deletes the stored credentials, after which the Hub can no longer reach the QuickBooks company. Any accounting data already imported is deleted on request.
Disclosure
We do not sell, rent or trade any of this data. We disclose it only to our infrastructure providers to the extent needed to run the Hub, to our professional advisers such as our accountant, and where we are required to by law.
Requests and questions
A client wishing to know what the Hub holds about their business, or asking for it to be corrected or deleted, may write to kdegraide@anthemsoftware.com. We will respond within 30 days. Deletion requests are subject to records we are legally required to retain, such as invoices and tax records.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published here with a new date at the top.
